How we use your details.

This covers this website, its contact form, and anything you send us by phone or WhatsApp. Last updated 14 October 2026.

Who we are

Mediant Partners Ltd (trading as Mediant Partners) runs this site and decides how your details are used: in data-protection terms, it is the controller. It is registered in Scotland, company number SC889184, and its registered office is 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN.

For anything about your details, send us a message with the contact form, call 07386 421233, or write to us at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN.

What we collect

Only what you send us:

  • The contact form: your email address and your message.
  • Phone or WhatsApp: whatever you tell us, which is usually your name, your number and your message.

You don’t have to give us anything. Without an email address or number we can’t reply, and that is the only effect.

Like any host, Cloudflare handles technical details, such as your IP address, when it serves a page or receives the form. It uses them to keep the site running and secure. The form also keeps a short count of requests from each connection, in memory for a few minutes, to stop it being flooded; nothing about it is saved.

This site doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.

We don’t make decisions about you by automated means.

Why, and on what basis

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and talk to you about the booking system. The lawful basis is taking steps you ask for before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

If you become a client, we also use your details to carry out the work and to keep the accounting records the law requires. The lawful basis for those is the contract and our legal obligations.

Who handles it for us

  • Cloudflare hosts this site.
  • Postmark sends us the email that tells us your enquiry has arrived.
  • Google Workspace runs the inbox where we read and answer it.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) carries your messages if you use WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.

We don’t sell your details, and we don’t pass them to anyone else, except where the law requires us to.

Some of these providers handle data outside the UK. Where they do, it is under the safeguards UK law allows, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to reply and follow up, and for up to 24 months afterwards in case the conversation resumes, then delete it.

If you become a client, we keep contract and invoice records for as long as the law requires, normally six years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the details we hold about you;
  • correct them, or delete them;
  • restrict how we use them, or stop using them (object);
  • give you a copy you can take elsewhere, where that applies.

It costs nothing, and we will answer within one month. To ask, use the contact form, call 07386 421233, or write to us at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN.

Emails and calls from us

We reply to the people who write to us. We don’t send marketing emails or newsletters, and we don’t add anyone to a mailing list because they got in touch. If that ever changes, we will ask first, and every message will have a way to stop them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Links to other sites, such as WhatsApp, Explosive Boxing’s website and mediantpartners.co.uk, are ordinary links. Those sites have their own rules once you follow them.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your details, tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days and respond within that time.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: the ICO’s complaints page.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. You can read the website terms too.
